Former The Wanted star Tom Parker and his long-term partner Kelsey Hardwick have announced their engagement!
The couple, who have been dating since 2009, spoke to Hello! Magazine about their engagement. Tom revealed all about his proposal to Kelsey, which he spent three months planning. “There was a trail of rose petals leading to the TV, where I’d set up a montage of all our pictures from the day we met until now, with a song playing in the background that our friend wrote especially for us. I was crying my eyes out at this point.” he revealed.
“Then at the end it said ‘Here’s to the next chapter, turn around’ and when she turned around I was down on one knee. I literally could not get my words out, I was so overcome with emotion,” he added. “I feel like the happiest man in the world.”
Tom and Kelsey also confirmed the news on Twitter this morning.

Although the pair haven’t set a date yet, we’re already excited for them! With regards to who’ll be on the guest list, Tom said “I’d love the boys to be ushers”, referring to his former bandmates Jay McGuiness, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran and Nathan Sykes.
Hello! even suggested that Jay might be able to help them choreograph their first dance after his winning stint on Strictly Come Dancing. “That’s a great idea!” enthused Tom. “He was always the best dancer in the band.” Although Tom and Kelsey might want to reconsider that after reading what Jay would have in store for them!
If I choreograph the first dance it will include Tom humping the floor as Kelsey does ribbon gymnastics, all in total silence.
