Anthem rock band VISTA are back, and this time they mean business.
The trio, made up of frontwoman Hope Vista, guitarist Greg Almeida and drummer Matthew Vlossack, have dropped a brand new single today called ‘Henchmen’.
It is clear that ‘Henchmen’ has a slightly heavier sound, however, we get to hear the real VISTA at work throughout the song. From the off, the track sucks you in – it’s hard not to lose yourself in this powerful anthem. The chorus also features a dual vocal, which really packs a punch. If you liked ‘Mansions’ and ‘On The Brink’ from their VERSUS EP, then you’ll love ‘Henchmen’.
Speaking about the song, VISTA said: “‘Henchmen’ is a headfirst dive into part of the musical world we have created. We wanted to come out strong with this one. We wanted to resonate with people who have been feeling held back, oppressed. But we also wanted to show people very clearly what this iteration of VISTA is capable of sonically. And we’re only just beginning.”
‘Henchmen’ marks the first release from the new band line up, proving that the band is stronger than ever. Written collectively by all three members, the powerhouse single is guaranteed to cement the band as a punchy anthemic trio. Coinciding with the release of ‘Henchmen’, VISTA will be opening up for Against The Current tonight at Irving Plaza in New York City.
Following the release of their debut EP VERSUS in 2016, the band have garnered features from a number of media outlets including Rock Sound, AXS, MySpace and Buzznet. They have also spread their infectious energy through dynamic live sets, most recently at Webster Hall in New York City.
2017 looks set to be a promising year for VISTA, and we’re excited to follow their journey!
