For her new single ‘Leave Me Be’, Cherri V delves into a self-aware mindset. You can tell that the singer/songwriter is in her element on the new record as she showcases her vocal depth and soulful tone.
The single also features Jazz elements which are fused with psychedelic rifts, giving the song a rather dreamlike warmth and overall enchantment. There is rich tapestry of emotion and musical understanding that simply radiates from ‘Leave Me Be’, making it Cherri V’s best release to date.
The track is lifted off the rising star’s upcoming album ‘Brown Eyed Soul’ and captures the frustration and and need to be free attitude that is symbolic with the LP.
And Cherri V has now premiered the official music video for ‘Leave Me Be’. The visual clip captures an intimate yet totally fierce side of Cherri V as she sports an array of different looks throughout the video. Her looks range from the chic, elegant black and white opening to a more Afrocentric style, where she is draped in vibrant, colourful jewellery.
The music video was directed by Asylum and it oozes sense of liberation as Cherri V is able to channel her creativity with an artistic direction.
