Zayn’s ‘Pillowtalk’ is undoubtedly one of the biggest songs at the moment, therefore making it a popular choice of cover amongst singers and bands across the globe.
The latest band to put an unique spin on ‘Pillowtalk’ are pop-rock band Lawson. The four-piece made up of Andy Brown, Joel Peat, Ryan Fletcher and Adam Pitts, surprised fans with their cover on Valentine’s Day. It was first performed on Capital FM before being shared with the world on YouTube and Facebook.
Andy takes the spotlight during this cover, with his stunning vocals accompanied by his keyboard playing. Having said that, Joel’s guitar solo at the end is also a definite highlight. We must not forget Ryan and Adam either, with their vocal harmonies and guitar and drum playing respectively making this cover a total standout.
Lawson have definitely managed to make ‘Pillowtalk’ their own – this chilled version has a great arrangement to it and Andy’s vocals suit it perfectly. We think that this band is so underrated – their unique version of ‘Pillowtalk’ is definitely one to remember! We’re also pretty sure that Zayn would have a lot of love for this alternative version.
