Following om from her major success in the African RnB market in recent years, Seyi Shay has released the brilliant official music video for her latest hit single ‘Yolo Yolo’. Meaning she is now bringing her music to a global audience for the first time. The video is bright, colourful, and vibrant and brings something fresh to the UK scene.
‘Yolo Yolo’ sees the UK born singer once again experiment with multiple genres as she blends Afrobeats with Latin music making for a unique sound. And her unique ability to write captivating songs has landed her the title of ‘2016 R&B Artist of the Year’ at Nigeria’s Headies Awards.
The track has been produced by DJ Coublon who manages to deliver an up tempo rhythm with piano melodies, and trumpet sounds along with a samba swing. The appealing record is matched with an equally appealing music video, which was filmed in South Africa, and was directed by Meji Alabi for JM Films.
