Southampton quartet Wavebye released their debut single Sugar last month and have now unveiled the follow-up track Show Me.
Show Me sees the band continue with a funky, guitar-driven sound which gets beneath your skin before exploding as the chorus rolls around. When speaking of the track vocalist Finlay Male said “Show Me explores the last very last moments of a relationship. You know it’s coming to an end but the fear of “what now?” makes you drag it out as long as possible.”. Previously known as Faux, the band are starting afresh and evolving with a new name and a new sound; if the first two tracks are anything to go by, we can’t wait to see what else Wavebye create.
The band made their live debut at Teddy Rock Festival last month alongside performing with HALFNOISE in Southampton. If you like what you hear then you can catch Wavebye live at The Pipeline in Brighton on 8th June with Seasonal, at Salisbury’s Feel Good Social Takeover on 22nd June and in Torquary for the Burn It Down Festival on 31st August.
