Make way for a new pop rock girlband on the scene! Fresh from the North West of England, Revolution 97 is your new obsession. With dip dyed hair, ripped skinny jeans and an unhealthy obsession with 5 Seconds Of Summer, why wouldn’t you love these girls?
Consisting of band members, Bronnie Hughes on lead vocals, Alex Graham on guitar and vocals, Lauren Dickov on bass and vocals and Ailis Mackay on drums, it’s hard to believe these girls are only aged between 16-18 and already racking up Youtube views of over 14,000 in just over a month!
They have covered the likes of Wheatus with their own acoustic rendition of Dirtbag Baby where they do an open call for a guitarist to join their band and adding an accompanying blooper video which shows them laughing uncontrollably. They’ve also covered 5 Seconds of Summer’s ‘Permanent Vacation’, with new member Alex completing the band and giving it an all round pop rock feel.
Although they have only started out, the girls already have chemistry within the band and finding the niche within the industry gave them the headstart into a glimpse of fame.
They will be performing at a 5SOS fan meet up at London’s Hyde Park, near the Joy of Life fountain on the 22nd August and it’s your chance to see them live before they make it big in the music industry. Hill Valley High, a band from Chester will also be making an appearance at the meet up.
