WhoHurtYou – the duo made up of All Time Low’s Jack Barakat and singer-songwriter Kevin Fisher aka Sweet Talker – have released their second track, ‘Nobody Wins’.

The track is a sombre and emotional break up song which talks about holding onto guilt from a past relationship. It’s a real personal affair which sees Jack and Kevin truly push their ability as artists.

Speaking about ‘Nobody Wins’, the pair stated in a press release: “This song is about the guilt you feel after ending a relationship with someone. Sometimes it seems like one person ends up in better shape than the other, but that’s almost never the case.

“It’s an extremely personal song that took everything we had already written to a whole new level. We felt it was important to share it with the world. No matter how shitty you’re feeling in the end, it’s important to remember that nobody wins.”

The track also comes accompanied by a music video. Directed by Jade Ehlers, the visual follows two girls on a car journey. These scenes are intertwined with hazy purple flashbacks of when they were paired up with Jack and Kevin. The visual takes an unexpected turn, but you’ll have to watch for yourself to find out what happens!

    Check it out below.

‘Nobody Wins’ is the second track to be taken from WhoHurtYou’s debut EP, Stages, which is due for release later this year. The EP will explore the different stages of ‘break up grief’. Their introductory track ‘Wish We Never Met’ arrived with the ‘Wish We Never Met-erator’, allowing Twitter users to delete their interactions with a certain account one tweet at a time, or all at once.

Jack and Kevin met during the writing process for All Time Low’s seventh album Last Young Renegade. The pair later formed a friendship after they both entered therapy following bad breakups and went on to work together in the studio with no agenda beyond self-expression.

The result of which was WhoHurtYou, citing a wide range of influences from Robyn to Japanese House. Their new project allows both Jack and Kevin to explore new avenues, with guitarist Jack writing lyrics for the first time and Kevin stepping into the role of a lead vocalist.

‘Nobody Wins’ is available to download and stream now.
