Good news, Will & Grace fans! It looks like 2017 is already off to a great start for you.
The hit comedy show is set to return with an entirely new season later this year.
It returned briefly last November for a ten-minute special for the US election, urging viewers to get involved and vote.
Watch it here:
After the special, rumours were rife that the cast was going to return to their well-known characters once more for another series.
The hilarious show originally ran for eight seasons between 1998 and 2006, and many were sad to see it end.
After being off the air for over a decade, recurring star Leslie Jordan spoke to KBPS radio station about the series: “It’s back. Here’s the way it works: NBC has ordered ten episodes.”
“It’ll be for next season, so they’ll [film] in July.”
Jordan (American Horror Story) won an Outstanding Guest Actor Emmy for his role of Beverly Leslie on the show.
The Hollywood Reporter has claimed that the original stars are set to return including: Debra Messing (Grace), Will McCormack (Will), Sean Hayes (Jack) and Megan Mullally (Karen).
However, NBC have yet to confirm the news.
Unfortunately, Debbie Reynolds, who played Messing’s mother on the show, has now sadly passed away after the death of her daughter, Carrie Fisher, so it is unknown if Grace’s mother will be included in the new series.
