ZAYN has blessed us with a number of tracks this year, including ‘Let Me’, ‘Entertainer’, and ‘Too Much’ featuring Timbaland, however, his latest release might just be our favourite.
On Thursday, ZAYN dropped his smouldering new single ‘Fingers’, a seductive RnB offering which tells the tale of an unrequited romance through the phone.
I’ve been f–ked and I want ya, I can’t even text ya
‘Cause my fingers ain’t working, but my heart is
If you wanna, let me know where you are, B
I can come and love ya
Written and recorded by ZAYN in London over the summer, ‘Fingers’ is a slow jam which showcases his mesmerising vocals perfectly. The trap beat laced throughout is hypnotic, and adds to the sensual nature of the song.
Take a listen to ‘Fingers’ below.
‘Fingers’ is expected to feature on ZAYN’s forthcoming sophomore album, which is set to be “a culmination of his experiences and inspirations from the past two years.” It will be released via RCA Records however, as of yet, no title or release date has been announced.
The album will be the follow up to his debut solo album Mind Of Mine, which was released back in 2016. Mind Of Mine went to number one in the UK, US and many other countries and among the album’s many achievements, it also set an iTunes record, becoming the first debut album to top the daily iTunes charts in more than 70 countries.
