Zayn is the final act to be announced for this year’s Summertime Ball on June 11.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ singer was the last act to be confirmed this morning on Capital, sending Twitter wild following the announcement. Zayn had already raised the hopes of his fans, after giving one of Capital’s tweets a sneaky favourite yesterday. His slot at Summertime Ball marks his first performance as a solo singer in the UK and where better to do so than at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 people?! We’re excited for Zayn and look forward to seeing him perform songs from his debut album Mind of Mine.
Although Zayn has performed at Wembley Stadium before, during his time in One Direction, it’s a momentous occasion for him to perform there as a soloist. Among clues leading up to the announcement this morning, Capital shared a distorted Vine of the singer saying that he was ‘really excited and a little bit nervous’ to be performing at the Ball.
So who d'ya reckon is 'really excited and a little bit nervous' to be playing the #CapitalSTB?! ? https://t.co/3WGlaBoshy

Zayn joins a stellar line up of acts that have been announced throughout the week. On Monday, Flo Rida, Craig David, Nathan Sykes, Sigala, Mike Posner and Little Mix were announced, whilst Ariana Grande, Tinie Tempah, Lukas Graham, Zara Larsson, Years and Years and The Vamps joined the line up on Tuesday. The penultimate announcement yesterday revealed that Nick Jonas, will.i.am, Jess Glynne, WSTRN and Jillionaire of Major Lazer would also be appearing.
Whilst the line up is now complete, Capital are known for throwing in a few surprises on the day and in the week leading up to the Ball, so who knows who else might appear!
Tickets went on sale this morning at 8am and since then have been selling fast. There are a limited number available on Capital’s website.
