Descendants 2 drop music video teaser for “What’s My Name”

The release date of Disney’s latest film Descendants 2 is fast approaching. Five networks (Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC, Freeform and Lifetime) will be broadcasting the film simultaneously on 21 July 2017.

The original Descendants film, which was released in 2015, was a massive success. Fans have eagerly been awaiting a sequel ever since. To keep fans engaged, Disney released a number of trailers and teasers for the film.

The latest of these is a teaser for the official music video for “What’s My Name”. This follows the release of a lyric video for the song last week. The full video for the song will be out next Friday (16 June 2017) and we cannot wait.

“What’s My Name” centres around new character Uma (Ursula from The Little Mermaid’s daughter) who makes her debut in this film. She will be played by China Anne McClain, famous for roles in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and A.N.T Farm. Her co-stars Thomas Doherty (playing Captain Hook’s son – Harry) and Dylan Playfair (playing Gaston’s son – Gil) also feature on this song.

In addition to this, Disney has previously released a series of trailers in the lead up to the official trailer for the film. First, we had a teaser video; then, a ‘Long Live Evil’ trailer; before, being treated to another teaser video.

If this is not enough to keep you going until the film’s release there is also a behind the scenes video, as well as promotional posters.

The cast of the film (Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and Cameron Boyce) have also done some promotional work. A few weeks ago they opened the Radio Disney Music Awards with the world premiere of “Ways To Be Wicked”. As well as this, they performed the track on Dancing With The Stars.
