Rising star SODY is back with her first new release of 2019 – the heartfelt and inspiring ‘The Bully’.
Showcasing her ethereal vocals perfectly, ‘The Bully’ is an emotive anthem packed with unfiltered and raw lyrics from Sody. The track highlights her incredible talent as a singer-songwriter, as she combines powerful lyrics with a gentle melody to celebrate the beauty of being different.
Sody has also unveiled the official music video for ‘The Bully’. Directed by London duo Will & Carly, the simple yet powerful visual highlights a diverse range of young individuals who have experienced the challenges of bullying in their lives. The impactful video will resonate with anyone who’s ever experienced adversity at the hands of others.
Speaking about the track, Sody said: “I wrote ‘The Bully’ whilst I was reflecting on how I felt about being bullied at school. For my sanity, I needed to try and find the positive in a negative situation to accept what had happened and move on. I found my way to heal in the lyric “I’m glad it happened to me and not you” and I really hope it helps others find their inner strength too.”
