    The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards returned to the stage in their true fashion with a tenfold extravagance, show-stopping spectacle, glamour, trendiest fashion outfits, and a lot of music. After last year’s semi-virtual show, the 2022 MTV VMAs ceremony honours the best music videos of the year and brought back some old traditions this time.

    The MTV VMAs 2022 celebrates the best music videos of the past year and feature unforgettable performances, tributes and appearances from the biggest stars in music industry. All the music buffs around the globe eagerly wait for this magnificent evening, so without further ado, let’s get into this year’s winner and everything that you should know.

    The glitz, glamour, and stars aligned on Sunday night for the annual celebrations, which this year brought performers, presenters and fans out to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow hosted the show and delivered an entertaining evening. Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X lead the night’s nominations list with seven each, followed closely by Harry Styles and Doja Cat, who each have six, and Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, who contended for five trophies.

    The Video Vanguard Lifetime Achievement award returned after a two-year break to honour the star rapper Nicki Minaj. 2021’s Global Icon Award also returned this year. Presented by Cheech and Chong, Red Hot Chili Peppers took the award home as another golden feather in their fame hat. Taylor Swift and Lil Nas X lead this year’s winners with three wins each. Taylor Swift took the biggest award for the night, Video of the Year, for her exceptionally well done and fan-lauded music video for “All Too Well” (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).

    Jack Harlow is up there with them with three wins; one for “First Class” and two for “Industry Baby” with Lil Nas X. Harry Styles took home two awards for Harry’s House and “As It Was.” BLACKPINK created history as Lisa won Best K-Pop at the 2022 VMA’s for her song “LALISA.” K-pop titans BTS became the “Group of the Year.”

    Performers for the 2022 MTV VMAs had a stellar lineup including Anitta, Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, J Balvin, Jack Harlow, Kane Brown, Lizzo, Måneskin, Marshmello, and Khalid, Nicki Minaj, Panic! At the Disco, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
