A Band Called Jack are ready to take the world by storm with the release of their debut album ‘Running Through My Head’. The record is fronted by the critically acclaimed lead single ‘Voices’ and its release follows BBC 6Music airplay with Guy Garvey.
This past twelve months they have spent the majority of their time performing live all over the fertile North West music scene. Taking their cue from the classic pop of The Smiths, REM and Crowded House, the LP is a collection of folky indie-rock tunes with strong emphasis on melody and chiming guitars.
The group originally formed in 2010 and have fast become a staple of the live scene in the North, but this year they have stepped things up a gear with the release of their first album which is sure to win them a whole host of new fans.
From the chiming lead track ‘Voices’ to the funked-up rock of ‘Makes Me Shine’ and the 90s alt-rock vibe of ‘Changes’, this is a collection of tracks as different as they are united in melodic enterprise and emotive expression. A Band Called Jack have a very bright future and this is just the start!
