While some people enjoy taking some time off on their birthday, Alessia Cara seems to like to treat it like every other Monday. The Canadian singer, who celebrates her twentieth birthday today, not only released the music video for ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’ earlier today, she also just announced the second instalment of the Know-It-All tour. All in a day’s work.
The tour will start on 29 September in Silver Spring and end exactly one month later in Orlando. Until then, Alessia will be busy touring with Coldplay. But as mentioned above, the tour announcement isn’t the only thing Alessia is giving to her fans today – she also unveiled the music video for her latest single ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’. In the accompanying interview with Cosmopolitan, the singer speaks of the importance of the message the video sends. She’s quoted saying that “you can never have too many reminders and too many songs talking about those things. It was important to put that in my own words and remind people that they are beautiful no matter what.”
