Manel first made his mark in the music industry when he won the second series of Cataluyna Teen Star in 2014. As a result of winning the competition, he was signed to TeenStarRecords and went on to release his debut single ‘Brand New Day’. Manel moved to Sony Music Spain in 2015 and with them, he released his second single ‘Candle’. This song reached number two on Spotify’s viral 50 chart in Spain.
Manel released his second single with Sony Music Spain in January this year. The single is called ‘Do It For Your Lover’ and it is a catchy, feel good song which is perfect for right now with summer just around the corner. Manel then entered Objetivo Eurovisión 2017 (Spain’s national selection to find a representative for the Eurovision Song Contest). Manel won the competition with his latest single, and as one of the ‘big five’ will be through to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. He will perform ‘Do It For Your Love’ in Kyiv next month. He has also released an acoustic version of the song which you can listen to here.
