It is one of the busiest days of the year for BTS, as the group has just released their new album, Map of the Soul: Persona, earlier today. Along with the album, BTS debuted their collaboration with Halsey, titled “Boy With Luv.”
Instead of being in South Korea for their comeback, the guys are in New York City getting prepared to take the stage tomorrow on Saturday Night Live. After doing rehearsals for their performance yesterday, BTS stopped by the Elvis Duran Show for an interview.
The guys talked about New York City and how much the city means to them. RM said that NYC was where the music, specifically hip hop, all started. Hip hop has been a strong influence on the group’s music since their debut. NYC also where they had their first stadium show in the United States at Citi Field.
BTS also talked about their collaboration with Halsey for “Boy With Luv” and how it is related to their 2014 single, “Boy In Love,” from their album, Skool Luv Affair. RM explained that their sound and message has evolved throughout the years and encourage others to listen to their music and understand what they are all about.
Elvis Duran ended the interview by thanking BTS for sharing their message and to stay true to themselves. As long as they stay true to themselves, they will find success. Listen to the complete interview below.
Make sure to catch BTS on Saturday Night Live tomorrow night! You can watch a promo for their episode here, which shows Emma Stone fangirling over the group.
