Camila Cabello is the gift that keeps on giving. If one video for her single ‘Havana’ wasn’t enough, the singer has now shared a second visual for the song.
Following in the footsteps of Selena Gomez and Marshmello, Camila has joined in with the ‘vertical video’ hype. This new trend allows viewers to comfortably watch videos on their mobile phone without having to turn it to landscape mode. Pretty nifty, right?
Whilst the original ‘Havana’ mini-movie, which has been viewed over 147 million times, showcased Camila’s acting skills, the new vertical video shows off her fun side. Directed by Sam Lecca, the visual follows the singer as she makes her way around New York with some of her girl pals. In between singing (and rapping Young Thug’s part) for the camera, Camila and her girls show off some moves on public transport.
Check out the vertical video for ‘Havana’ below.
The vertical video comes as Camila celebrates her second week at the top of the UK singles chart. Speaking to Official Charts at this week’s Music Industry Trusts Award, she said: “I’m beyond over the moon. I’m so happy. I’m so excited! You have to celebrate things like this because you never know if it’s going to happen again.”
Camila is also on the brink of claiming the number one spot in the US too. ‘Havana’ hit a new peak of number two on the Billboard Charts this week, and following the release of a second music video, it’s likely to push the song to the top.
As her chart success continues, Camila will be performing the worldwide smash at the MTV EMA on Sunday (November 12) in London. Additionally, she will be performing at the 2017 Person of the Year Gala Ceremony of the Latin Recording Academy® in honor of Alejandro Sanz. This will take place on Wednesday, November 15 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
