CNCO, made of five members all from different parts of Latin America – Christopher (Ecuador), Erick Brian (Cuba), Joel (Mexico), Richard (Dominican Republic) and Zabdiel (Puerto Rico) – got their start in 2015 from Univision’s La Banda, a Simon Cowell-produced reality show set on finding the next big Latin boyband. After rounds of auditions, Christopher, Erick Brian, Joel, Richard and Zabdiel came out on top and did just that.

Since 2015, the guys have released two albums, Primera Cita and CNCO, both of which topped the Billboard Latin Albums Chart. They have also toured with Latin music icons Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, and Pitbull and collaborated with acts such as Little Mix, Becky G, Meghan Trainor, Sean Paul, and Leslie Grace. The five-piece has also won numerous awards, including Latin American Music Awards, Premios Juventud, Premios Tu Mundo, Latin Billboard Awards, among many others.

CNCO is surely taking over the music industry, and with their latest single, “Pretend,” which is sung in both Spanish and English, they are taking steps to reach a bigger audience.

If you are starting to get to know the boyband like us, here’s a few things you should know about the group.

    What does CNCO mean?

CNCO’s name alludes to the Spanish word for five, “cinco,” which is also the number of members in the group. They sing in Spanish, but some of their most recent songs have also been in English, which they are also fluent in.

    What are their fans called?

The group’s fans are called CNCOwners. 900K fans follow the group on Twitter, while 3 million follow them on Instagram.

    What are CNCO’s biggest hits?

Their song, “Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos),” has over 1.4 BILLION views on YouTube. The track is featured on the group’s debut album, Primera Cita, which won Pop Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards. CNCO then released a remix of the song with Little Mix in 2017 and performed it with the girl group at the X Factor finale in 2017, in front of none other than Simon Cowell himself! Check out the original below.

Their 2016 hit, “Tan Fácil,” is also from their debut album and is close behind in YouTube views with almost half a billion views.

What is their most recent single?

The group recently released the bilingual track, “Pretend,” which showcases how big their presence is getting in the States.

When can I see them on tour?

CNCO is in the middle of their world tour right now and you can get tickets here. The group will be performing their first-ever headlining show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London later this month. Lucky for you, we’re holding a contest right now to see them in concert.
