You may already know her as the voice behind Jonas Blue’s gargantuan debut hit ‘Fast Car’, but talented songstress Dakota is ready to shine in her own right with her brand new single ‘Hate Loving You’.
Whilst the opening bars suggest that the track will be a ballad, ‘Hate Loving You’ is soon transformed into an infectious bop thanks to a truly captivating bass-driven groove. Dakota’s signature smoky vocals prove to be hypnotising throughout and leaves us craving more.
Take a listen to ‘Hate Loving You’ below.
‘Hate Loving You’ follows on from Dakota’s previous track ‘Sober’ featuring Not3s. Both tracks are taken from her forthcoming EP Call Me When You Get This, which we’re truly excited for.
Over the past year, the songstress has been busy working with songwriters such as Jamie Scott (One Direction, Rag’N’Bone Man) and Eg White (Adele, Florence & The Machine) in order to hone her craft and we can’t wait to hear the results. She has also received support from Fraser T. Smith, who signed her to his 70Hz label back in 2015.
Dakota has enjoyed a crazy musical journey so far but we have no doubt that 2018 is the year that she will receive the credit she deserves.
‘Hate Loving You’ is out now.
