Dalton Harris took the 2018 ‘X Factor’ title as the Winner of the series – a fantastic achievement for the contestant!
Right from his first audition on the show, whereby he performed ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ – his talent was evident from the beginning.
As the show continued and each round progressed, Dalton’s talent truly shone through, with one of his stand-out performances being his emotive rendition of Beyoncé’s ‘Listen,’ in a bid to impress mentor Louis Tomlinson and guest Judge Liam Payne, fighting for a place in the Live Shows.
Throughout the show, viewers have watched Dalton grow in confidence, gaining belief in himself as the competition has gone on, with support from his mentor and audience.
Dalton adapted to each theme, which varied week upon week. However, his impressive vocals remained consistent – earning him a place in the Live Final!
At the Live Final, Dalton’s performances were again extremely impressive, with him truly fighting for him to win the competition, giving several determined performances, in a bid to impress not only the Judges – Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field-Williams and Robbie Williams – but more importantly, the nation – those who would be voting. He duetted with Emeli Sandé, performing ‘Beneath Your Beautiful.’
As his Winner’s Single, he performed with previous ‘The X Factor’ winner James Arthur, who won the competition back in 2012. Their phenomenal duet is currently in the Number One position on iTunes, also being the most trended video on YouTube.
Later in the Results Show, Dalton was unveiled as the overall winner of the competition. You can watch the winning moment below:
Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee finished in third and second place respectively – both incredible accomplishments for the contestants.
