Darren Criss is set to fill in for Jeremy Jordan at two upcoming events. Jordan, who is currently starring on Supergirl, has had to cancel his appearances due to scheduling issues.
On March 11, Criss will be joining Betsy Wolfe for Broadway Today with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. The concert will be led by music director Steven Reineke. The show will feature a variety of musical theater hits.
Criss will also replace Jordan at Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s ON BROADWAY Concert on March 29 and 30, where he will once again join Betsy Wolfe and Steven Reineke. This show will feature Broadway showstoppers, classic melodies and recent hits, including songs from Phantom of the Opera, The Last Five Years, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables, Frozen, and many more.
Although some fans may be sad about Jeremy Jordan’s absence, there is no doubt that Darren Criss won’t disappoint. The Emmy-nominated composer has had leading roles in the Broadway shows Hedwig and the Angry Inch and How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Many fans may also know him from the theater company StarKid and Fox’s hit TV show Glee, where he played the fan-favourite Blaine Anderson.
