Rooster Teeth, an Austin TX, based production company, who are best known for their online web series such as Red Vs. Blue and the hit anime show RWBY, have released the teaser trailer for their debut drama series, ‘Day 5′.

The series, which stars Jesse Boyd, Stephanie Drapeau, Davi Jay and Walker Statterwhite, among others, consists of six, hour long episodes which will be available exclusively on Rooster Teeth’s website.
Day 5: Where Sleep Is Not An Option 1

Day 5 tells the story of a fatal sleep epidemic, which means, if you fall asleep, you die, resulting in the majority of the population passing away in their own beds. This phenomenon is unexplainable, so a group of survivors venture out to find answers. The official synopsis reads:

“Set in a world of insomniacs, late-shift workers and roving psychotics, Day 5 presents a unique vision of the apocalypse that fuses series drama and thriller around a human story of survival and redemption.

From what we know about the series so far, we can tell it’s going to be filled with drama, action and mystery, which will leave you on the edge of your seat.

After seeing wide success from Rooster Teeth with their shows, it’s interesting to see them branching out and doing more live-action drama series. Day 5 will surely be something to enjoy, much like the rest of their work.
