Galapagos, Casey Chandler, is a folk/rock artist living in Austin Texas along with part-time member Federico Puttilli.
Originally from Woodstock, New York, Casey Chandler got his
bachelor’s degree in music production from SUNY Purchase in 2009. He grew up being inspired by artists such as Midlake, Simon & Garfunkel, Low Roar, and Espers.
It wasn’t until after he graduated that Chandler finally got to tour North America and Europe for six months with John Grant. Doing that got him the slot on the British television show “Later… With Jools Holland.”
After getting the exposure he needed on the “Later… With Jools Holland” show, he recorded his debut album, Runnin’, in his own bedroom in 2011 and released it in January of 2012 on a small Italian label, Lady Lovely. Along with that album came a tour to support it. He then made another album titled Dandelion in October of 2013 and a third album titled I Never Arrived in January of 2016.
Casey’s music was recently featured in a major Italian film titled Il Ragazzon Invisible directed by Oscar winning director Gabriele Salvatores. After a worldwide release, it won a David Di Donatello award (The Italian Oscars equivalent).
Now, Casey Chandler is currently still exploring in Austin, Texas where he continues to write music and plays frequent shows.
