Just last week, Steve Grand released his sophomore album “Not The End Of Me“, and this week saw him drop the music video to his unofficial second single from the full-length LP, “Don’t Let The Light In”. The song hasn’t been named as a single, just yet, but since there’s now a music video, we’re calling it. “Don’t Let The Light In” was previously dropped as a promotional instant grat single, alongside title track “Not The End Of Me“, back in June as a teaser to the album.
Steve Grand launched on to the music scene with his debut single “All American Boy”, that has an absolutely epic music video which certainly went viral – it’s still his most-watched music video on YouTube. He followed that up with his “Stay” single and launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowd-fund his debut album “All-American Boy”. The campaign became the third most-funded music project in Kickstarter’s history and became the number one most-funded music Kickstarter by a musician never affiliated with a label at the time. Since then, he’s released cover songs, collaborated with Eli Lieb on the song “Look Away“, had his single “We Are The Night” remixed by Dave Audé, and he released a Christmas cover version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. Last week, he dropped his sophomore album “Not The End Of Me“, which has to be one of the best albums this year; we can’t wait to watch where his career takes him.
This music video was directed by Isaac Luna & Michael Medrano – the latter of which you will know from Steve Grand’s feature on his track “Heal“. It contains clips of Steve Grand from when he was a child right up to him performing on stage. Various events are showcased, including stage performances, pride, the time he formed a rock band when he was young, and various other musical scenes. This has clearly been his passion for many years, and we’re so proud of how far he has come and we just know he will go on to release even more unforgettable hits.
