Tim De Graaw is a South African born singer-songwriter, who grew up in the UK. If you’ve yet to hear of him, then you need to get him on your radar right away.
In recent years, Tim has been in LA, where he cut his teeth both as a session guitarist and songwriter. During his time in the City of Angels, he had major sync success with several TV placements on Modern Family. Tim has also had the opportunity to co-write with Charlie Puth, Adam Friedman and many more.
Now, Tim is back in his spiritual and musical home in London and is ready to bless us with some new music. He recently released his debut EP, Three Black Roses, and has unveiled a video for its first track, ‘Ivory’. Recorded at Westpoint Studios (UK) and mixed at Muscle Shoals (USA), ‘Ivory’ showcases Tim’s raw vocals and emotive rock sound. The anthemic guitar track is catchy and is a must for any music playlist.
Tim has drawn comparisons with artists such as John Mayer, and it’s easy to see why. His music is brutally honest, with the singer-songwriter baring his soul in his songs. Describing his sound, he said: “I wanted to combine my guitar blues influence with my own songwriting style. With lyrics that are truthful, honest and poetic about my fight with depression, struggles in music, and the pitfalls of love”.
2017 looks set to be great for Tim De Graaw, and we look forward to following his journey in the future.
Three Black Roses is out now on all platforms including iTunes and Spotify.
