DNCE continue to climb the UK charts

After steadily climbing the charts for the past seven weeks, DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’ has finally made an appearance in the UK top 10.

Slowly but surely, ‘Cake By The Ocean’ has been moving up the charts since its debut at 86 on the 3rd of March. Today, it climbed two spaces from 11 to 9, giving DNCE their first UK top 10 hit.

‘Cake By The Ocean’ has also been climbing the download chart, moving to number 7, as well as climbing two from 19 to 17 on the streaming chart. The song is also number 2 on the trending chart, which highlights the hottest new tracks beginning to make an impact in the UK every week.

It has also been making waves across UK radio stations, earning the title of number one airplay in the UK.

DNCE have another reason to celebrate too, as ‘Cake By The Ocean’ has also been certified Silver in the UK, meaning that it has sold 200,000 copies!

As their UK domination continues, DNCE will be visiting Radio 1’s Live Lounge on Thursday. We can expect a performance of ‘Cake By The Ocean’ as well as a surprise cover, which is sure to be epic. Will this help the song climb even further up the charts? We sure think so!

‘Cake By The Ocean’ is the perfect track for the summer and no doubt that its feel good vibes and catchy beat will continue to impact on the charts over the next few weeks. Could it be a number one hit for DNCE? It’s not impossible – let’s not forget that Shawn Mendes’ ‘Stitches’ spent 17 weeks climbing the UK charts before it eventually reached the top spot!

Congratulations DNCE, may you continue to rise in the UK charts!
