12-year-old Grace VanderWaal has officially announced that her first EP Perfectly Imperfect will release on December 2, 2016. The first song will be available this Friday on November 18, along with the chance to pre-order the EP.
Grace rose to stardom this summer when she auditioned for the eleventh season of America’s Got Talent. During the auditions, she performed an original song titled “I Don’t Know My Name,” which instantly went viral. The video currently has over 44 million views on YouTube and over 133 million views on Facebook.
VanderWaal continued to perform original songs throughout the competition and on September 14th, she was crowned the winner of the competition.
Since then, Grace has performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She has also headlined four sold-out shows in Las Vegas as part of the America’s Got Talent Live Tour.
Two months after winning, Grace is releasing her very first EP. She says “this is just the beginning.”
