Singer-songwriter extraordinaire Ina Wroldsen is back with her heavenly new single, ‘Haloes’.
Co-written with Steve Mac, ‘Haloes’ is a magical release from Ina which combines dreamy dance synths with the artist’s ethereal vocals. “Do you see that? / Flickers of light, coloured green right there / My love, can you feel that? / Ricochet right through the beat right there” asks Ina before launching into the soaring chorus.
I see haloes glow wherever I, I see
We’re young and free
Won’t you come, won’t you come, won’t you come with me?
Speaking about ‘Haloes’, Ina said: “I wrote “Haloes” with my favourite co-writer and good friend Steve Mac and we wanted to capture that moment of euphoria you feel when you are in a crowd of people and everyone is just having a wonderful time, being human together.”
“With my songwriting, I am constantly trying to capture defining moments of human nature in seemingly “everyday situations”. The first ‘hello’ that leads to a lifelong relationship, the first spark in an innocent touch or that final decision one makes that leads through sorrow and loss, to a completely new and bright path. I truly believe there is magic in everything, if you just take a second and look for it.”
‘Haloes’ follows on from Ina’s ‘Forgive Or Forget’, which was released earlier this year. You will be able to hear both of these tracks and more at the artist’s forthcoming headline show which will take place at London’s Camden Assembly on October 24. You can bag yourself some tickets right here.
Whilst Ina is finally making a name for herself as an artist in her own right, she is also one of the most sought after songwriters in the music industry. She is responsible for some of the biggest pop hits of the past decade, having written songs for the likes of Anne-Marie, Clean Bandit, Olly Murs, Calvin Harris, Demi Lovato, Jess Glynne, Little Mix, Britney Spears and more.
‘Haloes’ is available to download and stream now.
