Started from posting acoustic covers online, Aleisha McDonald, 18, from Sydney Australia, is another artist that you should definitely check out!
With a natural gift in singing at such a young age and influenced to pursue her passion for music in school, Aleisha had started posting acoustic covers on YouTube way back in 2013. Having such an angelic soothing voice and amazing guitar skills, it didn’t take long for teens her age to discover her talent.
With her videos racking up thousands of views throughout the past couple of years, Aleisha considered a possible career in music. Towards her graduation in high school, she round up with her close friends with the same passion for music (including her younger brother, Shanon) and started working on her original music, resulting in producing her debut EP.
April 30th this year, Aleisha’s independent and self-made EP ‘Rhymes‘, which contained 4 original songs: Memory, Don’t Feel A Thing, Rhymes and Try My Love, was released in physical copies through her webstore and peaked at #35 on iTunes Australia.
With the unexpected success of her EP and incredible support from her amazing fans, Aleisha’s passion in music grew even more! Currently, Aleisha still continues to post regular covers on her YouTube channel and is actually studying a college degree in music.
And very recently Aleisha got the chance to record her original music in a professional recording studio in Sydney! Hmm…I smell some new tracks coming up!
