Both tracks represent a developing music sound from the extremely talented singer-songwriter, however, the two tracks are quite the contrast from each other. ‘You Deserve Better’ has more of an up-tempo beat, whereas ‘At My Weakest’ has a slower sound to it, but is still phenomenal!

‘You Deserve Better’ is, as the title suggests, talking about somebody deserving better, and the chorus in particular is catchy and extremely different to anything he has ever released in the past. The track also shows off his phenomenal vocals, and we love it.

As we mentioned earlier, ‘At My Weakest’ is definitely the more stripped back track of the two. The song can be described as showcasing a vulnerable side, and the track is extremely raw with its captivating lyrics.

James’ talent has been showcased over the years, not only as a singer and performer, but in his undeniable ability to write songs and captivating lyrics, that his listeners and ever-growing legion of fans can relate to. This has been reflected in previous releases such as ‘Can I Be Him,’ ‘Recovery’ and ‘Say You Won’t Let Go,’ to name a few.

James Arthur won ‘The X Factor’ back in 2011 and since coming off the show, he has released two studio albums thus far, embarked on several headline tours around the UK and Ireland, along with many more achievements. No doubt 2018 is going to be another successful year for him, and we can’t wait to see what else is to come!

The release of these two new tracks inevitably hint at a third studio album hopefully being released soon from James Arthur. Prior to the release of his two new tracks, he featured on Marshmello and Juicy J’s track ‘You Can Cry.’ The video for the track can be watched below:

‘You Deserve Better’ and ‘At My Weakest’ can be purchased from iTunes by clicking here.
