John Newman is back with a stunning new ballad called ‘Stand By Me’, released via Island Records.
Co-written by John and Swedish collective BLNK, with production from Steve Mac, ‘Stand By Me’ is a gorgeous release which sees John thank a loved one for being there for him through thick and thin. This relatable track is the perfect dedication to those who’ve seen you at your worst.
“You’ve seen every scar I don’t show on my skin / And you taste every word that hasn’t passed my lips / You know my every smile and what they all mean / Happy, sad and broken or in between,” John sings, before building towards a singalong chorus.
Those who attended John’s intimate tour last year will have already had a sneak peek at this beautiful song, however, it’s great to finally have a studio version which can be played on repeat.

John will be performing the single live on TV for the first time this Friday (March 13) during the Sports Relief telecast on BBC1.
Whilst John is still working hard on his music, he is also embarking on a number of passion projects. He recently launched a high-end exclusive chauffeur service, with more details to come in the near future. He will also soon be launching his own podcast, combining his love for cars, music and conversation. The podcast is set to feature some of his famous friends as well as interesting characters from outside of the showbiz world.
