Laurie Hernandez has landed her first endorsement deal with Procter & Gamble, making her the new ambassador for Crest and Orgullosa.
The Crest brand is launching its new multicultural campaign on the Orgullosa platform. Its goal is to celebrate and empower Latinas.
P&G said they chose the Olympic athlete because she “represents a new wave of Latinas who shine with orgullo (pride).”
Laurie, who is of Puerto Rican descent, is the first U.S. born Latina to be on the Olympic gymnastics team since 1984, according to Fox News Latino.
Due to her facial expressions and overall positive personality, Laurie is nicknamed “the human emoji.”
However, Laurie’s signature feature is her infectious, pearly-white smile! There is truly no one more perfect to represent Crest than Laurie Hernandez!

“When you’re given the opportunity of a lifetime to perform on the world’s biggest stage, smiling with confidence for your family and supporters is part of every routine. As I prep for the competition, I always count on Crest products to keep my smile radiant and flawless on and off the mat.”
Laurie’s mother, Wanda Hernandez, will also share her journey as a mother of an Olympic athlete. Both Laurie and Wanda will be part of the brand’s “Thank You Mom” campaign.
The news comes a week after Laurie and the rest of the Final Five won gold!
