Luis Fonsi and Demi Lovato’s sizzling Spanglish collaboration ‘Échame La Culpa’ has hit an incredible YouTube milestone.
The video has now racked up one billion views on the video sharing platform. This is Demi’s first and Luis’ second video to achieve this milestone. Luis also holds the record for the most viewed music video of all time, thanks to his gargantuan hit ‘Despacito’ which is currently just short of an eye-watering five billion views.
Released on November 16, 2017, the ‘Échame La Culpa’ video took just 112 days to reach a billion views, making it the fifth fastest video in history to reach the milestone mark. On its journey to a billion views, the video also currently holds the record for being the fifth-fastest music video in history to reach 100, 200, 300, 800 and 900 million views, the fourth-fastest to reach 600 and 700 million views, and the third-fastest to reach 400 and 500 million views.

At the beginning of the month, Luis and Demi shared an English version of the song titled ‘Not On You’. This adds another dimension to the song, however, it successfully retains its original catchy Latin beat.
Since its release, ‘Échame La Culpa’ peaked at #6 on the Spotify Global Chart, went Top 10 on the Global Shazam Chart, soared to number one on iTunes in 59 countries, and has already garnered a 12-times Platinum (U.S. Latin Platinum) certification. Luis also made history as the “third Latin artist in history to chart two Spanish-language songs in the Top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100”.
We’re still loving ‘Échame La Culpa’ and can’t wait to see if the video can emulate the success of Luis’ ‘Despactio’.
