With less than a week to go until the release of her debut album High Expectations, RnB star Mabel has unveiled a new track called ‘Bad Behaviour’.
If you’ve seen Mabel perform live recently then you might have already heard ‘Bad Behaviour’, but if not then you’re in for a treat. Once again, the ‘Finders Keepers’ star has struck gold with another irresistible bop which bodes well for her full-length debut album.
‘Bad Behaviour’ is an unapologetic anthem which Mabel wrote after being told that she was enjoying herself a bit too much on a night out. “If you don’t wanna see me acting like a fool / If you can’t keep up with my bad behaviour / You can’t contain me / Every time I’m up, I run around you / You know you can’t keep up”, she sings during the fierce chorus.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Mabel: “I wrote ‘Bad Behaviour’ after a night out when somebody had been like ‘you’re acting crazy, you need to tone it out a bit. And you know when you sort of have that feeling and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, no, am I being too crazy?’ And then woke up the next day and was like, ‘I wasn’t, I was just having a good time!'”
Mabel has also unveiled a performance video for ‘Bad Behaviour’ which was filmed during her recent set at TRNSMT Festival. Check it out below.
‘Bad Behaviour’ comes ahead of Mabel’s highly anticipated and aptly titled debut album High Expectations, which is due for release this Friday (August 2nd). The album includes her recent hits ‘Mad Love’ and ‘Don’t Call Me Up’.
To coincide with the album, Mabel has a announced a huge tour which will take across UK and Europe next year.
