Who’d have thought how much a little yodeling in Walmart could change one person’s life? Ever since a video of him singing Hank Williams’ ‘Lovesick Blues’ in the aisle went viral, 11-year-old Mason Ramsey has been living the dream.
Not only have DJs around the world remixed his yodeling, but Mason has since appeared on the Ellen Show where he was given a college scholarship and the opportunity to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, performed at Coachella, and met Justin Bieber who fanboyed over him.
Now, Mason has signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and has just released his debut single titled ‘Famous’. Produced by Corey Crowder and Joey Moi, the country-pop offering sees the youngster acknowledging and appreciating his new found fame, however, he also sings that if he’s going to be famous for something, he wants to be “famous for loving you”.

Speaking about his latest achievement, Mason said in a press release: “I’d been to Nashville a few times before, but never thought something like this would happen. It’s a dream to sign with Atlantic and Big Loud. I loved recording ‘Famous’ and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
The song has already been well received, notching up almost half a million streams on Spotify since Friday. Mason is set to release an official music video over the coming weeks and will make another appearance on The Ellen Show to plug the single.
