Megan Fox is set to replace Zooey Deschanel temporarily on the upcoming season of Fox’s New Girl. With Zooey being off on maternity leave after the birth of her daughter in August, the show have decided to add Megan in as Reagan, who will be subletting Jess’ apartment on the show.
In the storyline, Jess will be summoned away for jury duty which will coincide with Reagan’s introduction. Reagan will be a pharmaceutical sales rep and will feature in several episodes.
Megan, 29, has seperated from her husband of five years, Brian Austin Green, last month and the former couple have two sons together. She has previously starred in Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and has also had roles in comedies such as This is 40 and How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
Zooey, 35, is most well known for her starring roles in (500) Days of Summer and Elf. She also won a Critics Choice Award in 2012 for her role in New Girl.
