On Saturday night (April 6), Molly Hocking was crowned the winner of The Voice UK 2019
The 18-year-old Cornish songstress was a member of Olly Murs’ team, and wowed the audience and coaches alike during the final with three incredible performances.
For the final, Molly sang Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Someone You Loved’, Simply Red’s ‘Stars’ as a duet with Olly, and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘I’ll Never Love Again’, taken from the A Star Is Born soundtrack.
Molly’s stunning version of ‘I’ll Never Love Again’ was chosen as her debut single, with the track making its way to streaming and download sites immediately after the show finished, debuting at number one on the UK iTunes chart.
Speaking about winning the show, Molly said: “Someone pinch me. All I can say is thank you, from the bottom of my heart all I can say is, I’m shocked, thank you so much!”
Molly, who beat stiff competition from Deana Walmsley, Bethzienna Williams and Jimmy Balito to win the show, also thanked her mentor Olly for sticking with her through the show, and called him an inspiration.
This is just the beginning for Molly Hocking and we can’t wait to see what else she will achieve during 2019.
‘I’ll Never Love Again’ is available to download and stream now.
