Emma Jensen – ‘Rush’
‘Rush’ is the new single from Norwegian songstress/producer Emma Jensen. Speaking about her new bop, which is inspired by 80’s pop, she said: “‘Rush’ is definitely different from my previous singles. It’s still very me, but more pop maybe? I think it’s just new inspiration from both listening to a variety of music and working with a lot of talented, cool people. I’ve for sure stepped out of my comfort zone and found confidence in the last year or two.”
Prismo – ‘Breathe’
US producer/singer/songwriter Prismo has released his new single ‘Breathe’. Speaking about the track, he said: “‘Breathe’ is about freeing myself from stress and unhealthy relationships. When I learned how to separate myself from unnecessary problems, I could finally breathe. I wanted the uplifting melodies of this song to express the positive outcome of my experiences, and give encouragement to people who feel overwhelmed by their circumstances.”
Just Loud – ‘Ghost’
‘Ghost’ is the powerful new single from Just Loud, taken from his debut EP Episode 1, which us due for release on June 15. Speaking about the track, he said: “The first line is ‘I talk too much or not at all,’ and that’s me, 100%. I’m very shy and outspoken — a full Gemini — and that balance is hard when it comes to being in a relationship with someone. Can you handle all of me? Would you go ghost on me once you found out who I am?”
Life of Dillon – ‘Only Fools Fall In Love’
‘Only Fools Fall In Love’ is the new single from UK alt-pop duo Life of Dillon. Speaking about the track, member Joe said: “Writing this song was like therapy for us. I had feelings for somebody bottled up for a long time. I kept fighting those feelings, and eventually ended up losing her. I know there’s a lot of people who can relate. We hope this helps our fans realize it’s ok to have feeling for somebody, and to own those feelings.” David added, “our new music is a new direction for us. We’re being more vulnerable, honest and more true to ourselves than we ever have before. We’re going to be releasing a lot more music over the summer, and hope that fans can relate to the different situations we’ve been through.”
Courtney Cooper – ‘Vibes’
‘Vibes’ is the new single from Brooklyn based singer and songwriter Courtney Cooper. The track is taken from her forthcoming album Waves and follows on from her previous single, ‘Cosmos’. Her album is expected to be a blend of “soul-infused indie pop” full of “super vibey slow jams”. Speaking about the album, Courtney recently told us: “I’ve always been deeply drawn to the ocean. There is something so magical about how endless the ocean truly is…it’s so mysterious, but calming and soothing at the same time. Waves is basically my love song and tribute to the ocean and its beauty. The title is also a bit of a play on words. The vibrations of sound in the air that are perceived as music are also called sound waves. #MusicNerd.”
Naked Elephant – ‘Sun Kissed’
‘Sun Kissed’ is the follow up single to Naked Elephant’s debut offering, ‘Raspberry Kiss’. Speaking about the track, frontman Josh Royses said: “I sat down and really wanted to write a dance song for Naked Elephant. It ended up becoming what is ‘Sun Kissed’, a little bit of the Naked Elephant rocknroll DNA with the guitars with the use of strymon pedals to soundscape which was blended with house music. There was a moment where we were finally OK with not having to write these deep esoteric masterpieces in order to feel amazing about out music, we can write something that people simply want to dance to in the sunshine.”
