Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt has released her brand new single ‘Colder’.
Written by Nina and produced by Fraser T Smith (Stormzy, Adele, Drake), ‘Colder’ is a dreamy pop offering from the songstress which deals with the aftermath of a first time break up. When people fall in love for the first time, they fall hard and that can often affect them when it comes to opening up to any new relationships which may follow.
When you’re young and you get your heart broken
And he leaves, leaves the scars open
When you can’t believe it’s over
That’s when you get a little colder
‘Colder’ is armed with a slick melody throughout and an infectious sing-a-long chorus which is bound to be stuck in your head after a few listens. The track showcases Nina’s superb musical talent, with her lyrics proving to be incredibly relatable to anyone who’s experienced heartbreak.
Speaking about the track, Nina said: “‘Colder’ was the last song I wrote for the album. It was written after watching young kids in love and how fearlessly they fall for each other because they’ve most likely not had their heart broken before. It’s a song about the aftermath of that and explaining to someone why you find it hard to open up.”
