Prince

Prince dies aged 57

Music legend Prince has died suddenly at his Paisley Park estate in Minneapolis, at the age of 57.

The news was confirmed by his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, who told The Associated Press that the singer died at his home earlier today. There are no further details regarding his passing at this time.

The news comes just days after Prince was rushed to hospital with flu. He was on a flight home from a show in Atlanta, Georgia when he was taken ill, forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing. Despite feeling unwell before the gig, like a true superstar, he insisted on performing and gave fans an incredible show.

Prince became a global superstar in the 80’s, selling over 100 million records during his lengthy career. Best known for songs such as ‘Purple Rain’, ‘Kiss’ and ‘When Doves Cry’, he also recorded over 30 albums over the years. In 2004, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame.

Today the world has lost another global music icon. Thank you Prince for blessing us with decades of incredible music – your legacy will live on forever.

Our thoughts are with Prince’s family and friends at this sad time.
