This is a sad time for 90s babies right now. Jack Riley, the voice actor for Stu Pickles from Rugrats, passed away at the age of 80. The actor died from complications of pneumonia early Friday morning in Los Angeles.

Riley worked for the Rugrats program from the years 1991-2005, including the movies. He also reprised his role in the spin-off series, Rugrats: All Grown Up! from 2003-2007.

His character, Stu Pickles, is the father of Tommy and Dil. Stu is a toy inventor, and created the iconic Reptar Wagon that is featured in The Rugrats Movie. Stu is described as absent-minded and his inventions usually end up malfunctioning.

During its run, the show earned over 20 awards and was Nickelodeon’s top-rated program for five consecutive years. It was also the network’s longest-running cartoon until 2012, when Spongebob Squarepants surpassed the show’s number of episodes.

Although many millennials will miss Jack Riley, they won’t be the only group in mourning. Riley was also part of several other television programs and films targeted towards older audiences. Some include The Bob Newhart Show, St. Elsewhere, History of the World: Part I, High Anxiety, and To Be or Not to Be.
