A few months ago, Saara Aalto was selected to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
As we reported earlier, Finnish broadcaster YLE have made changes in the selection process and revealed that Aalto will be releasing three tracks for the contest. The decision for the final song that Aalto will sing at Eurovision will be taken on the basis of votes received from the public and the jury.
The singer has now revealed her first song for the selection process. Titled “Monsters”, the single showcases the artist’s vocal prowess and considering that it’s just the first song out of three, we can expect the other two to completely blow our minds.
From the time of the X Factor, Aalto has shown her fascination for fantasies and she has always aimed to create her own fantasy world in her performances. Taking on the theme of The Last Supper in her new single, the singer alters the original narrative and presents the idea of “facing” demons rather than escaping away from them.
The music complements Aalto’s vocals quite well. It has positive vibes that gives one a feeling of liberation. “Monsters” then, is the kind of party anthem that one cannot be bored of.
Fans are already loving the single. But what about you? Share your thoughts about the song and the music video via tweet @CelebMix.
