In 1937, A Star Is Born hit theaters and told the story of an up and coming actress and her journey to the big time. Of course, the film told of love and loss, the dangers of addiction, and how the bright lights aren’t always what they seem to be. It’s an incredible story, and it’s been remade a number of times, but never quite like this. In 2018, A Star Is Born will once again be remade, as a musical film, and it will star Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. So, our excitement is already on the rise.
It’s been an incredible year for Lady Gaga already, with her stunning performance at Superbowl 51, the release of a beautiful music video for ‘A Million Reasons’, tour announcements, and continuing to be a spark in the entertainment world – this film is just adding to the million reasons that she’s a force to be reckoned with.
A press release for the film gave a bit of information about the film, including the fact that Gaga will be credited by her given name in the movie.
“Filming begins today on Warner Bros. Pictures’ reimagining of the musical A Star is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and introducing Stefani Germanotta, known across the globe as Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture.”
The chemistry between the two already looks heavy, just from one photo, and that’s to be expected with a story like the one between the characters that Bradley and Stefani will be playing. Ally and Jackson Maine (as reported by Deadline) are the names of those characters and their love story is one that tests them both in the same breath that it makes them stronger. However, the question exists – is there such a thing as too far when it comes to love, and if so, where do you draw the line?
Gaga is thrilled to be playing the role, as she took to Instagram earlier to share her excitement.

A Star Is Born is set to release on September 28th of 2018.
