Almost everyone is familiar with the Spice Girls’ ear worm, “Wannabe.” However, this song is now getting used in an incredible, empowering way. Global Goal’s Campaign #WhatIReallyReallyWant Movement highlights the discrimination and everyday sexism that women face globally. They recently made a video with many well-known stars to the Spice Girls’ tune:
The video focuses on issues such as violence against women, education for everyone, child marriage, and equal pay. Directed by M.J. Delaney, the video features Larsen Thompson, Gigi Lamayne, and a variety of other international women.
Response
