Tom Hardy has been busy with Taboo earning him millions of views every week on BBC1, with a second series in the works.
He also earned an Oscar nomination for his work in The Revenant alongside his co-star Leonardo Dicaprio.
Now the actor has a new project to work on as he has landed the huge role of Eddie Brock aka Venom.

Venom is one of Spider-Man’s iconic villains, last portrayed by Topher Grace in Spider-Man 3.
Fans have longed for a solo Venom film and Sony seems to be listening, making it a top priority with a 2018 release.
Clearly, the studio are not wasting time and are currently finalising negotiations with Tom Hardy and Ruben Fleischer who is directing it.
Sony is already rebooting the Spider-Man universe again with Spider-Man: Homecoming coming out this summer.
Venom has been a favourite ever since his first introduction from writer David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mike Zeck in 1988.
The character is an alien symbiote that needs a human host to survive and gives the host unbelievable powers in return.
Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner have returned to write the script after working on 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, played by Andrew Garfield. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing alongside Amy Pascal.
Plot details have not been revealed but Sony tweeted that Hardy will be playing Eddie Brock, the character who first became Venom.

Hardy has been introduced to the superhero universe before when he played the intimidating Bane in DC Comics’ The Dark Knight Rises.

He has no trouble playing terrifying characters as shown in Legend, Bronson and more.
We can’t wait to see how he portrays this legendary villain.
