The new trailer for ‘Happy Death Day 2U’ is here

Happy Death Day 2U, the sequel to 2017’s slasher-comedy time-loop movie Happy Death Day, will be making its big screen debut on Valentine’s Day next year. The trailer for the follow-up has been released and it’s safe to say that we’re in for another crazy journey.

Jessica Rothe returns once more as the movie’s leading lady Tree Gelbman. Whilst Tree thought she’d managed to break the time-loop of being murdered over and over again (she died no less than 11 times), unfortunately it seems that the curse is back and worse than ever.

This time around, Tree’s friends are now involved, making it even more difficult to break the time-loop, yet it’s up to our favourite heroine to once again die numerous times in order to stop the new killer. The trailer is full of twists and turns which will leave you rooting for Tree to be free from her hell once and for all.

Check out the trailer for Happy Death Day 2U below, but be warned, if you’ve yet to see the original movie then the trailer contains huge spoilers by recapping the original murderer.

Happy Death Day 2U is once again written and directed by Christopher Landon, and produced by Jason Blum. The movie’s executive producers are Angela Mancuso, John Baldecchi, and Samson Mucke.

Israel Broussard (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) returns as Tree’s boyfriend Carter, whilst Ruby Modine (Shameless) returns as Lori Spengler. Suraj Sharma, Sarah Yarkin, Rachel Matthews, Phi Vu and Steve Zissis also star.

Happy Death Day 2U makes its way to cinemas on Valentine’s Day, 2019.
