2019 has been a huge year for York Country singer-songwriter Twinnie; having released her breakout EP ‘Better When I’m Drunk’ featuring hit singles ‘Social Babies’, ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ and title track ‘Better When I’m Drunk’ at the start of the year, the singer then went on to achieve much more throughout 2019.
Following the success of the EP, the multi-talented performer then went on to sign an international publishing deal with record label BMG UK, and also performed across Europe for the first time as a support act to Kiefer Sutherland.
2019 has also seen Twinnie perform at a number of festivals such as The British Country Music Festival, Nashville Meets London, and The Long Road Fest, winning new fans every step of the way thanks to her power vocals and incredible on-stage presence.
Most recently the British star has wowed fans with live video recordings of ‘Social Babies’ and ‘Lie To Me’ filmed in London, and this past Friday officially released the studio version of the heartbreaking ballad, ‘Lie To Me’.
The track perfectly showcases Twinnie’s powerhouse vocals and strong songwriting talents and on Saturday, November 9th all of her hard work was deservedly rewarded when she picked up Breakthrough Artist at the British Country Music Association awards held in Manchester.
This is the very first award Twinnie has ever won and it’s safe to say it won’t be her last. The singer made an emotive speech about how hard work pays off and also wowed with a stellar live set where she was joined by fellow UK Country act The Adelaides.
It’s been an impressive twelve months for the UK singer and next year looks set to be even more wonderful what with the release of her much anticipated debut album ‘Hollywood Gypsy, in the first part of 2020 and in January she will send an EP to US Country Radio.
