Vanessa Hudgens Powerless is coming to NBC in January 2017

Powerless will be the first comedy sitcom with the DC Comics Universe.  Ben Queen is the show developer who wrote the screen play for Pixars Cars 2.

Powerless shows  the reality of working life for a normal, powerless person in a world of superheroes and villains.

Vanessa’s character  Emily is an  insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. But it’s when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures  after an epic battle messes with her commute  that she accidentally becomes a cult “hero” in her own right.

‘I feel like a lot of the superhero shows are always about the superheroes. but what about the other people who are trying to live their lives while these superheroes are having these epic battles?’

Vanessa told EW at San Diego Comic-Con while promoting the role.

‘You don’t necessarily need superpowers to be a powerful person, so she’s stumbling her way through that all.’
